Currently, you can only check-in to places and do stand-alone challenges via our iPhone, iPod Touch and Android apps.

However, treks (treks connect places and challenges into themed paths) have SMS support. So while you can't just show up at Joe's Coffee Shop in Boston and do their challenge, you could play the Boston Barista Trek via SMS to check out all the best coffee shops in Boston and do the challenges there.

To play any trek via SMS, simply take that treks keyword (each trek has a unique keyword) and send it as a text message to 728647 (SCVNGR). This will work for any phone on any carrier in the United States and Canada.
